February Wrap-Up and March TBR Pile

Goodbye February
Hello March

 ...................................................

I am going to try and recap my February and what my plans are for March on my blog.   I had 31 posts in February, which seems like a great amount to me since it is more than 1 a day and I am new to blogging! I participated in more Book Tours and some spotlights/book blitzs this month, which added to my increase in posts.

I read 7 books in February, which really helped me get close to my 60 books for the year.  I think I am on target to read more than 60 books, but I don't want to get to ahead of myself.

I have a lot of personal stuff going on in March so my blogging is going to have to be a lot of preset up posts.  I have completed reading a few other books in February for some book tours in March so I am a little ahead.  I will be traveling for a week for work so that will put me out of touch with my computer for most of the time so I am trying to stay ahead, but I will have plenty of reading time on my plane rides!!
 ...................................................

My top clicked on post for February was:   Rarity from the Hollow - Robert Eggleton (Spotlight)

My favorite book I read in February was:  Deceptive Cadence - Katie Hamstead (Book Review)

I can't wait to read in March:   Sweet Liar -- Debra Doxer (I am half way through this book and can't wait to finish and move onto the squeal!!)

My March TBR List (which will most likely change 100 times):

Sweet Liar -- Debra Doxer

Like Candy -- Debra Doxer

The Darkening -- Chandler McGrew

Guardians -- Josi Russell
The Black Lotus -- Claire Warner

The Hunter’s Moon -- Beth Trissel

Winter Queen -- Amber Argyle

Weekly Unwind 2.28.16 #7

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Welcome to my weekly recap!

So work was even slower this week than last week and I wasn't sure that was even possible, but I did get a lot of reading done though! I signed up for a bunch of book tours in March so I am somewhat ahead in them now so I feel behind in posts, but ahead at the same time.
I have slowly been working on decorating our house I am trying to go room by room so I don't get overwhelmed.  We had painted our upstairs hallway and stair well a few weeks ago, but I needed to decide what to do with the banisters.  It took sometime, but I decided to strip the paint and refinish them instead of buying a new set.   I had never done it before, but it was actually pretty easy I followed the steps from another blogger View Along the Way and everything turned out great! We need to reput all the pieces up and we are hoping to have it done this weekend then I can pick my next room to tackle.
Friday night I went out to eat with two of my friends for dinner.  It was great to catch up and hear all about their lives.  I love dinner with close friends!

6 Books I Enjoyed Recently That Weren't My Typical Genre

I have picked books that I have read in the past year that are from different genres than I typically read.

1) Annalise's Up and Down Day by Denise Jenne - I don't know the last time I read a children's book and this one was super cute! I forgot how much I like the illustrations of children's books.

2) Watchman by Alan Moore - I loved the comic aspect along with the text in the book.  The story was easy to follow and a great read!

3) Troublemaker by Janet Evanovich - I love her writing and was delighted to see that she had a graphic novel as well that really captured her writing style through illustrations.

4) The Color Purple by

5) The Dean Machine by

6) The Uncommon Reader by
