2017 Book Challenges

I am going to try and participate in a few more challenges this year.  I need to work on clearing out some reviews and also books I own so I feel these are the perfect challenges for me!!!
My Goodreads challenge is going to be 120 books for 2017!  I was able to read a little over 120 last year and I think I should be able to keep that pace for this year.

Challenge 1:

This challenge is perfect for me.  When I started blogging I took on way to many reviews and I need to catch up on them ASAP.  This challenge includes any review book that is 4+ months PAST DUE.

This challenge is hosted by The Herd Presents.

Goal:
My goal is going to be a little aggressive for this one because I really need to clear out my NetGalley requests so I am going with 20 books.

Challenge #2
Shelf Love Challenge 2017

I need to start clearing out books that I already own on my shelves so I can make room for new books!! The rules for this challenge are:
  • Read books that are in your personal library that were obtained before January 1, 2017.
  • Responsibly obtain books for your personal library.
    • You may wish to abstain from purchasing books or set a book budget for yourself.
    • You decide the best way to get control of your TBR pile and read the books you already own.
  • Library books (and textbooks) do not count for the challenge. You may use your library to obtain different formats of books you already own and count those towards your goal.
This challenge is hosted by Second Run Reviews

Goal:
I am going a little lighter on this goal, but I might step it up once the year begins.
1-10 books: shake hands with your shelves

Challenge #

POPSUGAR reading challenge
I decided to add this challenge on!!  Per the Popsugar website:
Fellow bibliophiles, start prepping your book lists, because the 2017 POPSUGAR reading challenge is here — with a new twist! For 2017's challenge, there are 40 book prompts to help diversify and expand your reading in the new year, PLUS an "advanced" section with 12 books for hardcore readers who complete the challenge before the year is over. That's a book a week for the overachievers out there! Not that you have to read all 52 books — the idea is just to have fun with it. From "a book recommended by a librarian" to "a book with a cat on the cover," this reading challenge is made up of a variety of ideas to mix up your reading choices, not specific book titles. Maybe you'll even discover a new favorite book by trying something unexpected.

  1. Lol Blogger Shame!!! I love the sound of that! I stop taking in reviews about two years ago because I simply could not keep up. Instead, I am focusing on books that are on my shelves.

    Good luck with your challenges!
