Ways
You Battle Blogging Slumps
So I recently fell into a blogging
slump. Work just got insanely busy so I
didn’t have much time to read or work on my blog. I felt like when I got home from work the
last thing I wanted to do was stare at a computer or attempt to read anything
my brain was just fried. I needed a vacation
to clear my head and start focus on reading again. I had to go away for work for a week so that
gave me a long plane ride to read and time to unwind in the hotel after we finished
for the day. I finally got over my
slump, but it took having a long plane ride to catch up on reading and love it
again. Now I just need to work on
catching up on posts.
Books
About Summer
Here are the books about summer that
I can’t wait to read this summer!!!
Love & Gelato - Jenna Evans
Welch (I believe ice cream is the key to summer)
The Weekenders – Mary Kay Andrews
Here’s To Us – Elin Hilderbrand
The Island House – Nancy Thayer
The Girls in the Garden – Lisa Jewell
Summer
Vacay Spots You Wouldn’t Want to Go
It is kind of an odd one I love to
travel, but I don’t think I would ever want to go to Hawaii. I love going to Europe and feel there is so
much to see over there that Hawaii has never been on my radar. I know a lot of people who went on their
honeymoons to Hawaii and it just never interested me. Also, I would not be going to Disney during
the summer it is going to be hot and crowed and rides make me awfully ill.

Hmm…what to talk about besides books…..hmm
My best friend is coming on Tuesday
she is flying in from Charlotte and I CANNOT wait! We are spending the whole
day together just the two of us. We don’t
get to spend a lot of time together since we live a few states away, but when
we do it is just like old times. We are
going to the beach in the morning, then pizza for lunch (she doesn’t get real
pizza by her house), then more beach, and then dinner with my husband. I think she might be coming to tell me she
is pregnant too so I am over excited about her trip!!!
Favorite
Summer Place to Read
My favorite place to read during the
summer is by far sitting by the edge of the pool. I love laying in a lounge chair and
reading. My husband’s parents have a
pool in their backyard and the two of us go over there during the summer to
relax. I find it hard to sit at the beach in read, since typically I go to the
beach with my extended family and everyone is catching up!
I am reading The Girls in the Garden now!! I am not sure what I think yet. I love Europe but I did love Hawaii which I totally went to for my honeymoon because I am cliche like that :) fun post!
ReplyDeleteHmm I haven't started The Girls in the Garden yet, but can't wait to see your review! Thank you!
DeleteI have always wanted to go to Hawaii! My brother was stationed there for almost two years. My mom and I should have went at Christmas, but we decided to go next year during spring break...and now he's stationed back in the states! I don't get to see my friends very often, either. What exciting news!
ReplyDeleteThat would have been fun to go visit your brother!
